Day 24 - My Ghanaian Name is Ama

The people of Ghana frequently name their children after the day of the week they were born.  Most Ghanaians have at least one name from this system  and some  use this as the name they are commonly called (such as Yao, one of our ECG drivers).

Here are the common characteristics for each day;

  • Monday's child is the father or mother in the family; nurturing in nature, dependable and organized, and protective of his/her family.
